Kotobukiya, Should We Just Call it Megami Device X M.S.G Weapons?

Geez…even my long absence for not following up with the Kotobukiya new product announcement. There will be one new release of their Megami Device series that comes with at least two M.S.G Weapons. Chaos & Pretty GRANDMA is one of the bad upcoming releases in the series. It is a creative way to promote and show how you can utilize the existing M.S.G weapon parts (introducing new parts) to build the figures. But I find the design a very lazy idea and the asking price of 8,500 YEN seriously is a lot. If you plan to grab this set, recommend you wait for at least a 30% discount or invest in another that does not comes with M.S.G weapons.

The popularity of the Bishoujo figures has been increasing globally. Frame Arms Girl and Megami Device are still the most sold in the market which is why Kotobukiya is so cocky. Bandai 30MS will take sometimes some catch-up. China's toy maker is catching up much faster, for example like MS General is doing very well with their Bishoujo product in the Japanese market. If you visit Gundamit store, more unknown makers are entering the business and feature way higher quality designs.

Garudagear has arrived!

Finally my Garudagear [Beluga] has arrived after so many months at the HLJ warehouse. I have been busy working out my financial problem to get this kit shipped out. Thanks to both sizes of the Garudagear box and Sugo! LED Shooting Studio for Hobbies L (Premium), the shipping fee skyrocketed. It takes time for me to wait for more items to pack together to save from it.

I will be reviewing M.S.G Garudagear soon with two separate posts once my time is clear. But Kotobukiya seriously screws the customers on the shipping fee after I found out about the large empty space inside the box. It was stupid for them to do this and unnecessary in the first place.

CONVID-19 Attack! Stay at Home!

Hey guys, it is quite a while I post something here. Well, CONVID-19 shit went nuts this month. My country enjoys no case for almost one and a half years and suddenly, boom, non-stop positive cases. There were no calls for swap tests or any notification call for home quarantine. So, I spend a lot of time stocking up our daily goods and disinfected products. 

There isn't much latest news from Kotobukiya lately because Japan is currently in emergency lockdown. I already completed taking photos for the upcoming M.S.G review. It's just that I still sorting out the problem at home. Hopefully, I can get the review post out soon. Everyone, stay safe.

Happy new year everyone! I hope everyone is doing well, in good health, and safe. Starting off with Kotobukiya early hinting two new products from the official website, Frame Arms Girl Durga I, and a possible M.S.G or next Hexa Gear crane option part. 😱

From my side, the M.S.G weapons review is going to restarting soon. The delay from last year because I went to see a physiotherapy to get my body bone to readjust due to neverending back pain while sitting down. I have already done the second time bone adjustment and now feeling better but just need to be careful about eating, drinking, and avoid sitting too long in the chair 😒 for the time being.

Talks - Cronovirus Hit 59th Shizuoka Hobby Show and Delay Toys Release

First of all, many of you already know, toy events in Japan have been canceled continuously or postpone this year due to the coronavirus spread fear especially the popular 59th Shizuoka Hobby Show suppose to take place on May 13th to 17th. Many toy makers already plan to announce the next new products and projects on that event. However, Kotobukiya announced they will (finger cross) participate in the 10th Licensing Japan exhibition next month on 1st April (April Fool?). Likely we are seeing an early announcement on their new products.

There are still a lot of questions flow into my mind about how Kotobukiya going to handle their upcoming release toy line since China facing slow down on toys manufacturing last month. Unlike Gunpla kits, they were all made in the Bandai factory in Japan. Kotobukiya model kits, on the other hand, were mostly made in China. Are we going to see a delay on the release date and even price increase this year? While there is no official announcement from several companies indicate any delay in their products, I would encourage buyers to be cautious and double-check the pre-order prices.
