Price Increase! Gigantic Arms Recolour Rapid Raider and Split Lucifer’s Wing in Two.

Kotobukiya announced the recolour version of Rapid Raider [Slash Violet Ver.] and split Lucifer’s Wing into two releases known as GA08 Dark Bird and GA09 Bicorn. What concerns me is the asking price for GA08 Dark Bird and GA09 Bicorn is double compared to Lucifer’s Wing set alone. Not only that, the new price for the two combined is almost the same as the Amazon JP exclusive version of Gigantic Arms 07EX Crimson Wing & Frame Arms Girl Stylet.

It is unknown for now whether GA07 Lucifer’s Wing will be discontinued or planned for reissue in the future, and probably comes with new pricing. But if you plan to get them, either stick for the previously released GA07/07EX if any online shop still selling or wait until discounted price for the two (*GA 08/09). So far Rapid Raider [Slash Violet Ver.] only hit a 400 YEN increase.

The official Gigantic Arms - Omega Reactor images are now live giving us more insight into the playability. The glass tank height can be extended by adding more storage rings which you require to buy separately for 800 YEN. The retail release for next year going to be April 2020 for 3,800 YEN. Gigantic Arms: Strike Serpent

It can be recombined from the vehicle mode in the image of the sea dragon to the combined form with the optional Gigantic Arms order cradle.

The large missile container is equipped with a cover deployment gimmick and can be used in combination with HexaGear or optional Gigantic Arms.The bellows block that composes the serpent head has speaker-like details by opening and closing the cover, and can be used for various purposes. The base of the bellows block uses a movable shaft and a ball joint to give a flexible expression.

The large booster unit has a hexagram system for connection and can be freely customized by attaching it to a Hexa Gear.

Product specifications
■ The bellows block that makes up the neck of the serpent head is divided into six sections, allowing infinite connections using multiple sets. Also, by opening and closing the external armor, the internal speaker details can be exposed and used as a live model.
■ Serpent head connection is a 5mm ball joint that can be attached to some products of the HexaGear series.
■ Serpent head can be connected at the mouth using special parts.
■ Large missile container can reproduce the time of missile use by opening and closing the cover.
■ Gigantic Arms (sold separately) When combined with an order cradle, it becomes a large arm frame. The joint axis of each part adopts a strong standard of 10mm diameter and can be used as a frame for large recombination works.
■ Heavy Weapon Unit 16 (sold separately) Docking is possible using a 5mm diameter hole conversion part to attach an over manipulator. You can play as a super large arm unit.
■ The large booster unit has Hexa-holes and 5mm holes in each part and can be customized by attaching various parts.
■ In-vehicle mode, it is possible to board various action models of about 150mm such as Frame Arms Girl.

It can be recombined from the vehicle mode in the image of a large fish to the Gigantic Arms order cradle sold separately.

The large booster unit can be used by disassembling each part like a block and can be enjoyed as a hover-type leg by using multiple sets.

M.S.G Gigantic Arms - Order Cradle Robot Form Prototype!!!

Holy Moly! The insane robot form prototype has been revealed by Kotobukiya blog this week. We can tell the arms (except the hand), torso and legs are completely new. It is now in planning for the preorder date and still doing adjustment to the kits.

M.S.G Gigantic Arms - Order Cradle

Kotobukiya announced today pre-order for Gigantic Arms Order Cradle at a price of 8,500 YEN. There are two playable modes, operation command room form comes with 'Sensor' and 'Radome' etc. and music performance form comes equipped with 'Drum' and 'Keyboard'. Character size supports up to 15mm, excellent for Frame Arms Girl and Megami Device model kits.

Now the interesting part, this is just head and body (cockpit too!) unit. We will be seeing a complete full-size robot form in the future and currently at the planning stage. Of course, we all know it won't be cheap either and highly possible only plan for release as a limited edition.
