The Hexa Gear website has gone through some changes and added new mission page for custom builder submissions. The first mission is called 'Dessert of Tyrant' and it's quite massive using different parts to build. You can find out more detail here.
I'm not really sure this is competition or contest but you will see the deadline starting today onward to end of August 2018. Also, there is free build entry section.
