FA Mechanic: Frame Arms - SA-16Ex Stylet (Multi Weapon Expansion Test Type)

[OEM SPECIFICATION]

In response to the SX plan, which had high requirements, the EX plan is the purpose of replenishing the forces on the front line strength demanded above all its immediacy. As a result, the supplied equipment in the plan was mainly the reuse of FA parts and prototype weapons that had been produced in the past, but it was not possible to just release all the parts.

The operation carried out by the ground Frame Arms (Gourai) equip with additional booster was reportedly performed recklessness due to the reason lack of adjustment and rapid build led to poor operability. The Defense Agency has developed the countermeasure to ensure that the parts match up with the Frame Arms are supplied in the order.

SA-16 Stylet was used for matching tests, in some cases, RF-9 Revenant Eye was also used. The Stylet was selected to support the test of the augmented propulsion device, but the OEM specifications of the FA were originally designed for air combat, resulted in some difficulty as a test-bed for the expansion unit and so, the whole body was subjected to a special modification. Its version was later referred to as SA-16Ex Stylet (Multi Weapon Expansion Test Type).

The feature of the Multi Weapon Expansion Test Type is the expansion connector added to the hard point of the main body. The original equipment, such as boosters and stabilizers has been removed, resulted in losses performance as an air combat unit. However, the response was positive when mounting various types of equipment, such as an increased armor, propulsion equipment, and a large armament shows an improved completion of the unit during the operation test at the front-lines. 

[HISTORY]

CC 213 - Until the ground counter-attack operation was implemented in CC213, the SA-16Ex Stylet will play as a supporting role for the Earth Defense when outnumbered.

CC214 - Plan 118 <Extreme> Although the end of the war was reached without the actual battle being introduced, in November post-war CC214 a retest was conducted by Gaff's hand to attack Liberta's base.

[ARMANMENTS]

• Ion laser cutter/Shaper canon - The extended test model had a laser cutter (or machine gun) installed on its arm as a self-defense device in an emergency. The size has been reduced to the utmost in consideration of the influence during the test, and it has a high cutting force, but the usage time is extremely short. The same is true of the shaper cannon, which is real ammunition, and the range and the number of ammunition are lower than those of the standard fire in exchange for good handling.
• Submachine Gun - A live firearm developed in the early days of FA history. Although the thermal power is standard, the two units can be connected to increase the instantaneous thermal power, and due to the good handling, it was operated by many units regardless of air and land. In this machine, it is often used for verifying the presence or absence of interference during extension unit testing and for weight balance verification, rather than for attacks.

[UNIQUE TYPES OF EQUIPMENT]

• Ex-P16H- The connector unit attached to the whole body of the SA-16Ex Stylet is used for mounting and operating the expansion unit under test. Not only a simple joint but also a unit control repeater, so that when a propulsion unit such as a booster is connected, control linked to the main unit can be easily performed.
