Review - Extend Arms 08 for Kobold

The Extend Arms 08 for Kobold is an upgrade pack released last year Nov 2021 together with the full version kit, Frame Arms RV-6 Gullzwerg. Both of them come at a different price of 2,210 YEN and 4,080 YEN at HLJ. Since I already got the Limited NSG-04θ Weisheit θ (Non-RE2 version), I do not need to go for the full kit. But if you are new to the Frame Arms series, I would highly recommend you get the full kit (FA RV-6 Gullzwerg). Getting Extend Arms 08 and Kobold separately will cost you a total of 5,185YEN, which is an extra of 1,105YEN. So do take note of this. 

Even if you don't have FA Kobold, you still can use and build on other FA. The only downside is that one of the important parts, C-5, is not included in this set which means that you won't be able to attach the chest armour part unless you modify or have the experience to mold FA parts. Kotobukiya should have included this part in the package and excluded the normal hand (2020) parts.

In this photo review, Frame Architect RE Ver. Off White and Kobold, red/black colour kits will be used to give you an idea of the parts required to build RV-6 Gullzwerg. I am happy that the first version of non-RE NSG-04θ Weisheit θ worked great with RE2 even the additional bundle of two clear (red and clear) visor head parts fit with no issue.

The rifle and the booster unit were a new design that was not found in Gringo II garage kit showcased and sold from Wonder Festival in the year 2020. I believe it was a later add-on or probably a new design later after being licensed by Kotobukiya. It is a thumbs up for the booster unit to have an optional function to switch into a leg unit.

Extend Arms 08 for Kobold Review:

• Great upgrade kits with additional clear visor head parts and a changeable leg mode from the booster unit.
• Works with first version Kobold kit. Remember to use the RE:2 PC A.
• Kobold C-5 chest part is not included in this set. Otherwise, this will be a perfect EA of all time. 
• Experience loose parts and scratches when posing the leg areas. The modeller who wants to paint this kit must take note.
• Remember to go for Frame Arms RV-6 Gullzwerg full kit, do not buy separately unless there are huge discounts
