Type-32 Model 1 Gourai Kai is a remodel/renovate version of Type-32 Gourai. It features a new head visor and strengthened armors. The electrical equipment was upgraded to update its basic performance to the current standard. As a result, the appearance was slightly changed and was able to maintain its original mobility despite the increased armor weight.
The additional armors located at key points in the fuselage are special armor protection designed to protect the direct impact of beryl shots (laser weaponry). However, it is low effective against projectiles. Depending on the situation, a detachable module structure was used to replace the original armor.
Its primary armament was also evaluated, armed with a Pickup electromagnetic acceleration gun. The rear artillery weapon, 120 mm low-recoil cannon, which was the previous main armament in Gourai, has been positioned as a secondary weapon. Unlike the original model, it is installed on the left side to supplement the firing angle of the electromagnetic acceleration gun. Although the performance itself is the same as the original model, the firing rate has been slightly improved by updating the main body side.

- Small numbers of Type-32 Model 1 Gourai Kai was produced during CC214.
- Pickup Electromagnetic Acceleration Cannon - A linear rail gun was developed by analyzing Lapierre Zephyr's main armament and Type-8 electromagnetic acceleration gun. As a result of the power enhancement, it has become larger than the original, and the arm section is secured to ensure shooting stability. It boasts the same range and firepower similar to long-range weapons, and particularly high penetrating power, and later led to the development of the Baselard segment rifle.

- Tank Thread Driving System - Employs a self-drive balance wheel in a portion of the leg. The system also provides a large suspension function and allows driving high-speed movement mode in the land terrain.
